Civil Litigation

Civil litigation is a process for resolving legal disputes on civil matters through negotiation or through the courts.  The dispute generally involves money.  Our attorneys will evaluate your situation and properly advise you.  Many disputes can be settled even before anyone files a lawsuit.  We try and avoid costly litigation for our clients and always encourage communication with an adverse party prior to filing suit.  In fact, under certain circumstances, the law requires that a demand letter be sent prior to soliciting the courts involvement.

However, when litigation is necessary, understanding how to prepare your case, the steps and procedures involved, as well as how to leverage your negotiating position, requires the advice of a skilled, experienced attorney.  Whether you are entering a lawsuit as the plaintiff (the person who begins the lawsuit) or the defendant (the person who is sued), it is important to have a qualified caring attorney on your side.

At the Davis Basta Law Firm, P.A., we are here to help you.  We can provide the skills and experience necessary to resolve your dispute, and protect your personal and financial interests.
